Master of Accountancy (MAcc)
Since the traditional undergraduate four-year accounting program no longer provide the in-depth knowledge needed, the Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program is designed to provide for these increased academic needs to prepare graduate students more adequately for assuming the role of professional accountant in public practice, non-profit organizations, government agencies, and financial institutions nationwide. With a strong emphasis on research skills, the curriculum is structured to provide both theoretical and technical foundation in accounting at the advanced level. After completing the 30-credit program consisting of 18 accounting credits and 12 elective credits in business, graduates have fulfilled the 150-hour education requirement for taking the CPA examination in the majority of states.

Master of Accounting (MACCT)
As a 33-hour accounting degree program, the Master of Accounting (MACCT) program is designed to provide graduate students from any discipline with a strong theoretical and practical foundation in accounting for successful completion of the professional certification examinations required for success in accounting. For students who have an undergraduate degree in a major other than accounting, the Professional Track includes introductory financial accounting and introductory managerial accounting courses prior to admissions. For those who have a bachelor’s degree in an accounting major, the Advanced Track and Tax Track are offered to pursue specialized advanced studies in accounting and/or taxation. Graduate students also have the option of pairing the Master of Accounting with a Juris Doctor degree in a dual program provided in collaboration with the School of Law.
Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a Concentration in Accounting
Designed to give graduate students a well-rounded exposure to the different dynamics of business and sharpen their skills in a certain facet of business, the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program offers a concentration in Accounting. With a total requirement of 43 credits for completion, the program allows students who have completed a BBA with an accounting concentration to select an additional concentration in Information Assurance (IA). Unlike other accounting master’s programs, the MBA provides a broad-based business education at the advanced graduate level with integrated curriculum covering the application of budgeting, auditing, and taxation in a business environment.
